Today’s Daily Dose begins the week with a powerful truth: God does not always keep us out of the fire, but He often uses the fire to set us free. As you read, reflect on how God may be targeting what has been binding you—not who you are.
Scripture
Daniel 3:23
“And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.”
Devotional
The Bible says they fell down into the furnace bound. They did not go in walking free—they went in tied up. But the fire did not destroy them. It destroyed what was wrapped around them.
This is the heart of God in a fiery season. The fire was not aimed at their identity—it was aimed at their bondage. What the enemy intended for destruction, God used for deliverance.
Some things cannot fall off in comfort. Some ropes do not loosen in peaceful seasons. But in the fire, what has held you gets exposed—and God begins to break it.
Reflection
What feels “bound” in my life right now?
What has tightened around my mind, emotions, relationships, or faith?
Today’s Prayer
Lord, use this season to free me. Burn what binds me, and strengthen what belongs to You.
You may feel the heat, but do not assume you are failing. God may be working freedom into your life. Tomorrow, we’ll look at how fiery seasons often reveal hidden bondages we didn’t even realize we were carrying.
