Today’s Daily Dose explores how God uses fire to bring freedom. The furnace did not destroy the men—it destroyed what bound them. As you read, reflect on what God may be breaking off of you in this season.
Scripture
Daniel 3:25
“…I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire…”
Devotional
They went into the fire bound, but they were seen walking freely inside it. The flames did not burn their bodies—but they burned the ropes.
Some bondages are only broken in fiery seasons. Comfort rarely confronts what fire exposes. God may allow pressure to remove fear, pride, dependence, or habits that could not be loosened any other way.
What feels painful may actually be freeing.
Reflection
What might God be burning away in my life right now?
How could this season be producing freedom, not harm?
Today’s Prayer
God, use this season to free me from anything that does not belong in my life.
The fire that feels threatening may be the very thing God uses to bring freedom. Tomorrow, we’ll reflect on how you don’t come out of God’s fire the same way you went in.
