Today’s Daily Dose explores how faith is revealed when it is tested by pressure. While calm seasons make faith easy to talk about, fire seasons show us what our faith is truly anchored to. As you read, consider what your current season may be revealing about your trust in God.

Scripture
Daniel 3:16
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king…”

Devotional
Faith is easy to talk about when life is calm. It sounds strong in peaceful seasons and confident when there is no pressure. But Scripture shows us that faith is not proven in comfort—it is revealed in the fire.

When pressure comes, what rises to the surface is what has truly been formed in us. Trials expose where our trust really rests. God does not allow fire to destroy genuine faith; He uses it to reveal it.

Your current season may feel intense, but it may also be showing you how real your faith has become.

Reflection
What is my current season revealing about my faith?
Am I trusting God only when it’s easy, or even when the pressure rises?

Today’s Prayer
Lord, help me trust You when the heat rises and faith is tested.

The fire is not proof of failure. It may be the place where God is revealing the depth of your faith. Today we were reminded that faith is not revealed in comfort, but under pressure. The fire doesn’t create faith—it exposes what has already been formed. As you step into the rest of your day, remember that what you’re facing may be showing you how real and rooted your faith has become.

Tomorrow’s devotional shifts from what the fire reveals to who God is in the fire. We’ll look at how the Hebrew men declared God’s ability before they ever saw deliverance—and how true faith chooses to believe that God is able, even when the outcome is still unknown.
