Today’s Daily Dose starts the week by resetting what love really is. Culture calls many things love, but Scripture defines love through Jesus—His nature, His sacrifice, and His way. As you read, ask God to realign your heart with His definition.

Scripture
John 13:35
“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Devotional
Feeling in love is not the same thing as being loving. Biblical love is not something you fall into—it’s something you walk in. Love is not chemistry or butterflies. Love is a Person, and His name is Jesus.

The cross shows us what love really looks like. Love is proven by sacrifice, not by words. That’s why the Bible says, “Love never fails.” When pressure came, when nails were driven, when sin’s weight was crushing—His love didn’t fail.

If we say we love Jesus, then His love must rule how we speak, how we respond, and how we treat people—especially the people closest to us.

Reflection
Where have I been defining love by feelings instead of obedience?
What would it look like for me to “walk in love” today?

Today’s Prayer
Jesus, align my heart with Your love. Teach me to walk in love, not just talk about it.

Today, choose one practical act of love—patient words, a kind tone, a humble response—because love is lived, not claimed. Tomorrow, we’ll look at how love is a mirror that exposes what’s really in us, especially in the smallest moments.
