Today’s Daily Dose focuses on how 1 Corinthians 13 isn’t just a beautiful chapter—it’s a heart-check. Love doesn’t only reveal what’s healthy in us; it also exposes what needs repentance. As you read, let Scripture measure your heart.

Scripture
1 Corinthians 13:4
“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,”

Devotional
Most people hear 1 Corinthians 13 and think of weddings, romance, and sentiment. But Paul didn’t write it for a wedding aisle—he wrote it for a church that was gifted, loud, and active, yet lacking love.

Love is a mirror. It doesn’t just make us feel inspired—it makes us honest. Love exposes hidden sins that feel “church-friendly”: impatience, harshness, envy, pride, jealousy, offense, and unforgiveness.

Gifts don’t prove maturity. Power doesn’t prove purity. Emotion doesn’t prove love. Fruit proves love. And love is the evidence that Jesus is truly ruling our hearts.

Reflection
When I look into God’s mirror of love, what is He exposing in me?
Where do I need to repent instead of justify?

Today’s Prayer
Holy Spirit, search my heart. Expose what doesn’t look like Jesus, and change me from the inside out.

God doesn’t expose to embarrass—He exposes to heal. Let conviction be an invitation, not condemnation. Tomorrow, we’ll focus on two of the clearest signs of love in daily life: patience and kindness.
