Today’s Daily Dose brings love down into everyday moments. Love is not proven in the big dramatic moments—it’s proven in small, ordinary interactions when you’re tired, pressured, and irritated. As you read, ask God to grow love where it’s most needed.
Scripture
1 Corinthians 13:4
“Charity suffereth long, and is kind…”
Devotional
Patience is love’s response to pressure. It’s long-suffering. It means I don’t snap, lash out, or crush people when I’m stressed. Patience isn’t tested when life is easy—it’s tested when you’re inconvenienced, delayed, or frustrated.
Kindness is not weakness. Kindness is Christlikeness. You can be doctrinally correct and spiritually cruel. Some people don’t punch—but they punish with tone. Some people don’t hit—but they hurt with words.
Pressure doesn’t create impatience—it reveals what’s inside. “That’s just how I am” is not an excuse. Love is fruit, and fruit can grow.
Reflection
Who do I tend to be least patient with—and why?
Where do I need to choose kindness instead of harshness today?
Today’s Prayer
Lord, put Your love in my tone, my timing, and my words. Grow patience and kindness in me.
Love is proven in the small moments. Today, choose a patient response and a kind word on purpose. Tomorrow, we’ll look at the hidden love-killers that often grow in churches and relationships: envy, boasting, and pride.
