Today’s Daily Dose addresses something that causes deep damage in relationships and in the church: offense. Many times, offense doesn’t start with facts—it starts with assumptions. As you read, let God free you from suspicion and lead you into peace.

Scripture
1 Corinthians 13:5
“…is not easily provoked… thinketh no evil;”

Devotional
Some believers aren’t walking in love—they’re walking in offense. They are touchy, easily angered, easily triggered, and quick to assume the worst. A tone feels personal. A delay feels intentional. A decision feels targeted.

But love is not easily provoked. Love doesn’t jump to conclusions. Love asks questions instead of making accusations. Love believes the best, not the worst.

And love “thinketh no evil,” meaning it does not keep a running record of wrongs. Love doesn’t keep receipts. Love doesn’t punish with memory. Forgiveness cancels the debt—and love chooses to release what pride wants to hold.

Reflection
Where have I been assuming the worst instead of asking questions?
Who do I need to forgive fully—without keeping a record?

Today’s Prayer
God, deliver me from offense and suspicion. Help me forgive, believe the best, and walk in peace.

Offense is a trap, but love is freedom. Today, choose to clarify instead of assume, and forgive instead of rehearse. Tomorrow, we’ll close the week with the full picture of love: love protects unity, tells the truth with grace, and never fails.
