Today’s Daily Dose focuses on how resistance can often follow obedience. Standing for God will not always be celebrated, and opposition does not automatically mean you are on the wrong path. As you read, reflect on how God may be strengthening your faith through moments of pushback.
Scripture
John 15:19
“…because ye are not of the world… therefore the world hateth you.”
Devotional
Standing for God will often make others uncomfortable. Obedience exposes compromise, and exposure invites opposition. That does not mean God is against you.
For many believers, opposition shows up quietly. Criticism increases. Friendships shift. Tension rises at work or within family relationships. Resistance does not always mean rejection by God. Often, it is confirmation that you are standing where He placed you.
Opposition is not always a signal to retreat. Sometimes it is a call to remain rooted.
Reflection
What opposition am I facing right now?
Is it criticism, isolation, tension, or pushback because I’m choosing to live differently?
Today’s Prayer
God, give me discernment and courage when opposition comes. Help me stand firm without fear or bitterness.
If you’re facing resistance today, don’t be discouraged. Opposition does not mean God has withdrawn His hand or His presence. Often, it is evidence that your faith is making an impact in places where compromise once went unchallenged. Tomorrow, we’ll look at how pressure doesn’t just test faith—it reveals what we truly worship, and how to keep God first when the heat turns up.
