Today’s Daily Dose examines how pressure exposes what truly holds first place in our hearts. The furnace in Daniel 3 was not just about fire—it was about worship. As you read, reflect on what pressure may be revealing in your own life.

Scripture
Daniel 3:15
“…but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace…”

Devotional
The furnace in Daniel 3 was not really about fire. It was about worship. Fear was being used to force surrender.

Pressure still works the same way today. When money is tight, pressure tests whether we trust God or control. When approval is at stake, pressure tests whether we obey God or people. When consequences loom, pressure reveals what holds first place in our hearts.

Pressure does not weaken real faith. It reveals it.

Reflection
When pressure rises, what am I tempted to bow to?
Is it fear, money, approval, comfort, control, or the opinions of others?

Today’s Prayer
Lord, help me keep You first when fear tries to take control. You alone are worthy of my worship.

Pressure will come, but you can choose who you bow to. Surrender what feels heavy today and trust God to lead you through it. Tomorrow, we’ll focus on how faith speaks before the breakthrough ever comes, even when outcomes are still uncertain.
